During a painting week in France, we had to practice the ‘Rembrandt style’ and this is my result. Learning from Rembrandt was way out of my comfort zone, as I am not used to this way of painting, but I enjoyed it immensely and I am quite proud of this painting. I called it ‘Socrates’ as he is my only ‘hero’, from whom I learned the power & wisdom of not-knowing.
